Certification Process

Itqan is a Custom Built Application Processing System (APS) which is an entirely online application process which includes Ai tools to make the process simple and efficient. Suppliers initially provide their details including list of products, documents, questionnaire and other details.

Immediate AI Decision with pre-approval, or application decline with recommendations for changes, adaptations or amendments.

Approved Applicants - submit for Formal Approval, and pay annual subscription based on tiered model.

Decline Applicants - opportunity to re-submit with recommendations.

Formal Endorsement Process

Applications are reviewed and assessed by Itqan’s Service Team. Requests for additioal documentation, laboratory tests or other related data. Application is scheduled for Onsite or Virtual Audit.

Audit & Certified Approval

Applicant audit conducted to evaluate the Halal production process. The audit will be conducted either on-site or virtual (via video link). If the certification is recommended by the auditor, the Halal certificate is issued after the final decisioning. The verification and certification are undertaken in full compliance with guidelines CAC/GL 24-1997 (Codex Alimentarius) and follow the main Halal guidelines and Halal standards in the world. Itqan also refers to ISO17065 standard— Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services.
